MISSION STATEMENT

Varick Memorial AME Zion Church exists to call men and women to live transformed lives as citizens of the Kingdom of God through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

VISION STATEMENT

Our vision as a church is to develop viable citizens of the Kingdom of God utilizing a five-fold perspective and it’s in alliteration for easy memorization and implementation:

• Exalting Jesus (Word and Worship)
• Empowering the Lord’s People (Discipleship)
• Evangelizing the Sinner (Evangelism)
• Encouraging Stewardship (Stewardship)
• Equipping the Saints (Transformation)

To this end, all people will be touched and transformed by the liberating power of God’s Holy Spirit.  Therefore, faithfulness is not an option, excellence is not a choice, but love is a demand!
